Das Fatih Sahn-ı Seman Forschungszentrum in Istanbul bietet im Sommer diesen Jahres unter dem Titel Risale Günleri einen Risala-Workshop an, in dem mehrere Lektüreseminare zu verschiedenen kleineren Traktaten aus den Bereichen des fiqh, hadīṯ,tafsīr, Grammatik, Philosophie, Logik, Naturwissenschaften und Politik angeboten werden. Unter diesem Link kann das Programmheftchen zu den verschiedenen Textlektüren heruntergeladen werden. Anmeldezeitraum ist 8.-18.Juni 2020. Im Folgenden gibt es eine Beschreibung des Workshops:
The program will focus on the later period of Islamic intellectual tradition, known as the Second Classical Era, following the Islamic civilization’s initial formative and early classical periods. The main objectives of the program are to improve the participants’ knowledge of the Islamic literatures beyond that of introductory texts, and to help them gain familiarity with rasā’il, a genre that reflect the agenda items of Islamic intellectual tradition at the highest level. An international faculty of experts will lead the discussions in this short-term, intensive program’s sessions that will be held in English, Arabic, and Turkish.
The program will take place online during June 20 – July 10, 2020, and is free of charge. The selected participants may attend any session of their own choice – there is no minimum number of sessions to attend. They will receive a certificate of participation for the sessions that they fully attend.
To apply, you must fill the application form on the website below. Though priority will be given to graduate students and post-graduate researchers, undergraduates and independent researchers will also be accommodated as much as possible. You will be notified of the result of your application via email.
